Independence Day Celebrated at MMPS

Maharana Mewar Public School environs were filled with patriotic fervour on August 15, 2019 as the school celebrated the 73rd Independence Day of the country. Colonel Kumar Sanjay from Udaipur Cantonment graced the occasion as the Chief Guest accompanied by his wife Mrs Shally Shrivastava , an outstanding Odissi Dancer, recipient of Senior Fellowship from Ministry of Culture . The unfurling of the National Flag was followed by the inspection of marching contingents .The short cultural presentation added to the grandeur which was followed by felicitation of scholarship winners of session 2017-18 and National Children Science Congress Winners(2018-19).
Addressing the gathering the Chief Guest mentioned that it was his first appearance amongst civilians and was indeed swept by the rich ethos of the school where the students are trained in multifaceted ways to become fit instruments of purpose in life. He was impressed with the immaculate drill display by the students. He exhorted students to imbibe the army ethics like tough mental condition that transcends human boundaries and be prepared for the worst situations in life. He reiterated Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's philosophy that Dreams should not let you sleep.
The Principal extended his gratitude to the Chief Guest and reaffirmed the philosophy of serving nation selflessly.
